Do you think Lizzie Borden really killed her father and stepmother? Why or why not? How much did race and class privilege affect Lizzie''s trial?

How does the Lizzie Borden case compare to some recent cases in which race, class, or gender have played a large role.

Any information will be helpful for me. Thanks

i think she was guilty...but very smart...they didn't have the technology back then and she played her part well..no idea why she did it... today is different...you need tons of cash...and a team of lawyers to get away with it..ie...oj...robert Blake....and yes captain kirk....things were alot different back then you could get away with alot more....

Lizzy Borden took an ax
and gave her mother 40 wacks;
when she saw what she had done,
she gave her father 41.

That's about all I know on the subject. I think she was guilty for sure.

I took a classification at Sam Houston State in Huntsville and my instructor had written a tale referred to as "She could no longer have achieved it whether she Did". It became into bearing directly to the case and if centred on the undeniable fact that for the time of the Victorian era ladies have been organic and weren't wide-unfold to even think of of doing so depraved. the way it became into written that the sister became into the single that easily commited the crime. check out the cyber web for Articles by making use of Dr. James Olson from Sam Houston State college.

I think she was innocent, her distant cousin killed her with a axe. Seems like she was put on trail to cover up for someone else.

I think her bastard step-brother did it, and she knew he'd done it, and was protecting him because she hated her stepmother with a purple passion! If she'd been black or poor, she'd have gotten the gallows post-haste!

Definately Guilty! She did it, it just couldn't get proven. It would today with DNA.
