Have anyone tried the pregnancy test that can detect if you are pregnant five days befor your missed period? How do I go about with the blood test, how early does that reveal if you are pregnant or not?

I have and if their is enough Hormones in your system then it will detect it. You my get a faint line. Make sure you get 2 as if the line is faint or a negative result occurs, you should do the test in a week. As for the blood test, you will have to wait until you are late and get that from your Dr. A blood test usually can tell within 7-10 day after you due period.

The "official" answer to your question is different than the plausible answers since every woman is different, but lets go on averages.

In approximately 85% of pregnancies, the egg implants 8-10 days after ovulation, which would be about 4-6 days before your missed period.

It takes a couple of days for the horomones to build up in the system high enough to be detected by an HPT.

I used an "early test" and received a very faint positive two days before my missed period... I was part of a trying to conceive website at the time and noticed that with HPT's the earlier positives started coming in higher numbers at 2 days before...

Some people were getting positives earlier than that (3-5 days before) but it was a lot less common.

As for blood tests, it can reveal it a bit earlier (5 days before your missed period). Like the HPT's, it could go even earlier, but its the rare occasion rather than the standard.

Good luck!

If you do an at home urine test be sure to use the first urine of the morning it will have the highest Hcg level. If you want to do a blood test which is more accurate can detect at 5 mIU/ml. The urine test can only detect at 25mIU/ml or higher. Hope this helps I would wait until at least the first day of a missed period if the result is negative retest again a week later. Good Luck. I used the first response test...mine came 2 in the box I did both they both came back positive then I went to planned parenthood they did a urine test it was positive...then had bad pains and was scared so I went to the er and they did a blood test and an ultrasound to make sure it wasn't etopic...then I went to my doctor the following Wed and he did an ultrasound..I am now 39 weeks pregnant! I guess I had way more than enough tests done but I wanted to make sure! If you think you're pregnant call your ob/gyn and they will either send you for a blood test or do an ultrasound!!! Good luck!
