you have to download them, pictures absorb a lot of memory, that's why they come as attachements, when you download them, the pictures are in your computer, pay atention to where they end up!

It may be your settings. What email client are you using. If you are using outlook then go to
TOOLS
OPTIONS
SECURITY
DOWNLOAD PICTURES
and change your automatic download settings.
