my boyfriend of 2 1/2yrs and i broke up not too long ago, it was his decision. he said that he was unhappy with himself and wasn't being the man i needed him to be, meaning that i deserve better. i suppose. anyway, his best friend who is not close to me at all recently told me that he had cheated on me throughout our relationship. he said it was "a lot", i asked who the girls were and he gave me a few names of the ones he knew of, the "others" he said he didn't know, or that my ex didn't tell him.. so i confronted him and of course he said that wasn't true, blah, blah.. he even gave me the phone numbers of the chicks his friend talked about. (my ex owns his owns a clothing line, so he knows a lot of people thats why he had the numbers, fyi) i didn't tell him who told me because his best friend BEGGED me not to. his bff is going through some **** with his girlfriend right now too and confides in me, he's also told me how he has felt for me. who's lying? how do i know?

I know you think it really really matters if he did or not...but it doesn't. And if he did? It would only hurt you more...take my advice and spare yourself even more heartbreak...you guys are over and done with--it doesn't really matter now, since it is in the past and all...just use it as a reason NOT to get back together with him..because I can almost guarantee that he will miss what he once had in a few months (they always do....), so don't go back to him, just keep it in your mind that he may be a cheater and leave it at that.

I guess the real question is who cares? I don't mean to be callous but if he already dumped you, does it matter? Maybe if you believed it was true, it might be easier to let him go (if you are even having that problem) but other then that I can't see any usefulness is knowing the truth of the matter.

Also it sounds like this other guy wants to move on you, so he could be telling you stuff that would make you want to take 'revenge' by sleeping with him.

If I were in your shoes, I'd walk away from the whole mess. I wouldn't stay in contact with either of them.

If you guys aren't together any more don't worry about it. You're going to feel a whole lot worse if you find out it's true aren't you? Keep his bestfriend at arms length. If he wants to confide in you about his current relationship issues that's fine but don't get too close. You never know - he might be tellling you this story so he can hook up with you after his relationship is over.

It really does not matter if the boyfriend is lying or not. The relationship is over. If you like guy number two, wait for his relationship is over and test the waters. It may turn out better.

Oh, Stop.......in the big scheme of things, does it really matter??? You are acting immature, sweetie. Stop acting like you have no class and zip the lip and stop chit chatting about what is past! Move on and take the high road!
