KBr is a polar covalent substance therefore it has a partial positive side and a partial negative side.KBr is likely to dissolve in polar solvents.From the list above methanol is the only solvent which is polar.The OH group of the methanol acts just like the O-H bond in water with Oxygen having the partial negative charge and Hydrogen having the partial positive charge .Hence in solution the partial charges interact with each other and produce solvation energy(since this is not water,for water it would have been hydration energy) which is enough to break the bonds for dissolution to take place.

methanol. It's the only polar solvent. Methanol is like water with one of the Hs replaced with a CH3 group.
