I despise shopping. Grocery, Wal-Mart or Target, I can do without those stores. Alas, their merchandise is a necessity so I go. Since my budget is extremely limited now, I only get to shop Wal-Mart & Target 2 or 3 times a month. I usually grocery shop once a week, which is not fun.
I've never been a clotheshorse, shoe fanatic or window shopper. Bores me silly LOL! I'd rather sit at a table in the mall & people watch. More entertaining!!
As for the crowds, I've learned to get myself up earlier to go before 9 & 10am. Most stores aren't crowded then & I can shop without a lot of screaming kids, whiny toddlers & babies. Before you moms with kids go off on me, I have a 9 year old son. If he acted up in any way, we left the store. I'd rather leave the basket for go-backs then have to listen to my son cry because he can't have a toy, candy, etc. If he starts acting up now, we leave the store. I have NO qualms about leaving baskets in the aisles to avoid a tantrum or making another person's shopping time lousy because my son wants to cut up. I have to use those electric carts too & they are usually fully charged in the early mornings.

No, I can't say that I feel the same way you do when it comes to shopping. To me shopping is therapy, when I'm depressed it is the one true thing that keeps me happy. I don't buy stuff all the time when I'm depressed, I just go window shopping or looking around. I find it as great stress relief. My favorite shopping is the shopping I do to "treat" myself; clothes, shoes, Cd's, books, make up, panties, items for my house I love it all. However I hate grocery shopping with a passion. Its just something that irritates me.
I just don't think the trendy saying "women love to shop" is true. I've heard more and more women admitting that they hate it. My mother hates shopping and she has hated it for as long as I can remember. Most of the time, she will either send me to town to shop for her or stay in the car and let me run in and get the items she needs. She hates it so much!

I don't mind grocery shopping too much. I just tell myself to be thankful I have the money to buy food. But I do hate shopping for clothes. It takes forever to find something that fits right.

I only despise clothes shopping because I can't find anything that fits properly or that I want to wear.
I don't mind any other kind of shopping at the moment.

I actually love shopping, but I know many women who despise it. You are definitely not alone. :)
Good luck!
