There is an anti theft module that is under the dash, just to the inside of the steering column. Is samll. If you'd like a diagram of its whereabout, then send me your email, and hope I can get it to you. Good luck.

The PATS system or passive anti-theft system on the F150 cannot be bypassed. The key has a built in chip that causes a ring on the key cylinder housing to send a radio signal to the PATS module to allow the truck to start. The PATS module then sends the ok to the PCM and instrument cluster. The little red theft light in the center of the dash should blink slowly when the truck is off, but if it is blinking fast when you are trying to start the truck, then it is not receving a signal from the PATS module to allow it to crank. If you are hearing a single beep from the instrument cluster area while you are driving after first starting, I would be more inclined to think it is an instrument cluster problem. All three modules, the instrument cluster, PCM, and PATS must receive the signal to allow the vehicle to start. You could have a problem anywhere in the network. It would probably be wise to take the truck in for repair, something is causing the key input to not transfer to one of the modules. It could be one of many things, and the PATS system is very complicated and needs to be diagnosed by a professional.

If the factory alarm is armed you should be able to use the key in the door (lock it then unlock it) this should turn off the factory alarm if that's the problem. I would check to make sure it's not the starter relay or other similar problem also try smacking on the starter it may be stuck (seriously) but don't hammer on it just tape it while someone cranks the vehicle. You could check for sure by getting a test light $4 give or take and check all the fuses and relays and check for signal to the starter if their is signal at the starter then the starter is stuck or froze if their is no signal chances are their is a bad relay or blown fuse some where.

Good luck hope this helps move you forward in fixing your problem.

Ford used a hard wire from the ignition to the module under the dash. It will break from tilting the wheel. All you have to do is tilt the wheel a few times to allow the connection to go threw and the truck will start. I have done this for the last 8 years. Try It !!!!

You could just use a center punch bought at any hardware store and punch through the glass. It won't make a loud sound and then you just knock away the glass gently.
