what is your opinion on the BOR or/and plz tell me a famous quote referring tothe BOR, who said it, and what the quote is saying(means).

One quote I like is “The 2nd amendment is the guarantee of the other 9. In other words it gives the people a means to make sure the other rights remain intact.

A lot of people say that the 2nd is not a right of the people but of a militia but just after the US BOR was being ratified the Ohio BOR was made and the 4th amendment is basically the same but a lot clearer.

“The people have the right to bear arms for their defense and security”

BTW "the right to say it" line is attributed to Voltaire whose ideas are the corner stone of our government. But he never said it in those words. In actuality it comes from "The Friends of Voltaire", written by Evelyn Beatrice Hall

Now if I can just remember who said something like “ it is not the sudden loss of freedom that we should worry about but the slow erosion of our rights.
