Well, the question was what is the horsepower from a Silverado SS, 345 HP @ 5200 RPM and 380 LB-FT @ 4000 RPM. Which as sucky as it is, you can only get an automatic with and a curb weight of 5192 pounds. Not very fast, in reality, but it is a full size truck with great styling, the potential for performance modifications, and still very usable as what it is, a truck. The biggest downfall it had, the original MSRP was $38,740.
The GMC Sierra Denali is basically the same truck, but one added bonus it has is QuadraSteer 4 wheel steering. The 0-60 time on the SS is 6.3 and runs a quarter mile in 14.8 seconds. Not quick, but not too bad for a truck.
Everyone brought the Ford SVT Lightning into the picture. It is 380 HP @ 4750 RPM, slightly more than the SS and 450 LB-FT@ 3250 RPM, greatly more than the SS. Another "sport truck" that you could only buy in an automatic. The advantage was its price. With an original MSRP of $33,035, it was hard to look at a Chevy. The 0-60 time on one of these was 5.8 seconds in 2004 and a quarter mile was 13.8 seconds. Which is reasonably quicker than the SS. Its biggest downfall: Its a Ford.
As car and driver put it:
"Highs: Aggressive design, extra cab space, sports-sedan performance.
Lows: Slower than a Lightning or SRT-10, 40 grand for a pickup still doesn't sound right.
The Verdict: No longer a bad-boy truck, the SS has matured into a gentleman's sport hauler."
However, the Chevy Silverado SS still exists... In 2007 you can still buy a Silverado SS, you can't buy an SVT Ford Lightning. The price has even dropped to $34,180.
If you are in the market for a "sport truck", look around a little bit. Toyota makes a Tacoma X-Runner. For the 2006 the MSRP is $23,745. It has a 4.0L V6 making 236 HP@ 5200 RPM and 266 LB-FT @ 4000 RPM. The curb weight is 3690 pounds. A lot less horsepower, but is still much lighter, the V6 is much better on gas than a V8. Plus it is a 6 speed manual, so its more fun to drive.

Not enough try driving a Ford F-150 Lightning It will flat out run Your Truck and any stock Corvette and most vehicle on the road and you would spend many dollars just to keep up with it if you could, test drive one and you will not buy a Chevy and the ford comes stock wit 5.7 liter V-8 with a Eaton Supercharger but its 50 grand and well stick with what you can afford Good Trucks Fords Cost More, One of the fast production Vehicles On The Planet fact Check It out and See, (SVT) Special vehicle Team 12 two man teams only work on the Lightning Truck at Ford, good luck With The Chevy You Will need more Than Luck To Out Run a Lightning, take Care Buy A FORD-BOLD-MOVES, Translate Means MOVE OVER I AM COMING THRU, but don't get be wrong GM makes A good truck but Ford Makes The BEST Never Rest

345 hp stock, but at a guess 300-315 rwhp, it's a dog man. If your looking to go fast buy a ford lightning. The SS is a dog,it's a extended cab! Sure the 454 SS was slow but it was a single cab, i don't know what those guys at gm are smoking some bad dope, i would guess
