7 x 5 = 35.

So you gotta think of something between 4 and 5 to multiply by 7 in order to do it.

My calculator says that 7 x 4.89 = 34.013, which is pretty freaking close to 34.

when finding the factors (numbers multiplied to get the specific number) you should start with 2, then 3, try to use prime numbers...

in the instance of your 34...

34
/ \
2 17

and since 2 and 17 are both prime numbers, you cannot factor it any more...

so, the factors of 34 are 2 and 17...

so... 2 x 17 = 34

Is 34 an even number or an odd number? If it is even then it can be divided by 2.
