I relocated to a state where I have 3 brothers who all, beleive it or not are preachers/pastors. I have chosen not to JOIN either of their churches, although I have visited them. They have all been married more than once. Am I mentally holding that against them and don't realize it? One brother has even married his church member!! Answer honestly, my feelings will NOT be hurt.

There is nothing wrong with a pastor marrying a church member. In fact, it's kind of expected. Where do you expect him to find a wife--at the Pastor's Wife Factory?

That said, you may feel it's too "incestuous", or too ingrown, or too close, or too weird, to accept your brothers' leadership in the position of pastor. I'm not saying this to condemn you, but Miriam and Aaron had trouble accepting Moses' leadership, and Jesus' brothers, at first, didn't believe in him. Jesus said a prophet is accepted everywhere except in his own household. I'm saying this to assure you that your feelings are legitimate.

Respect your brothers' positions, and find a church in which you do feel comfortable--and inspired--by the leadership, and loved and accepted by the congregation. Maybe years from now you may feel more comfortable with one of your brothers as your pastor, and then again, maybe you weren't meant to be a sheep in their particular flocks. This is between you and God.

In my opinion, this does NOT make you a bad sister. But do visit their churches at least once in a while.

No i don't think your are a bad sister. The Lord will show you the way and if its not at your brothers church door step then they should understand that and deal with it. He has a reason for everything and works in mysterious ways. Now as a brother they may be hurt, but if you have attended each of their churches and just didn't feel right being in them, thats the Lord telling you to keep on looking.

If you joined one of their churches the other two would think you are a bad sister for not joining theirs. You can't win. Obviously you are bothered by their multiple marriages but leave that out of the discussion. If they ask, just say you don't want to play favorites and you will find a church of your own.

Well we cannot judge others, that is Gods Job, however I believe you should follow your heart, as long as you are acting in a Christian manner, always ask yourself, What would Jesus do?

No, I think you have to live your life. You could visit every once in a while, though.

No --you are not a bad sister --you have your own choice. You will not have to answer to your brothers for your unforgiveness --but to God Almighty!
