Most people in the western world have more than enough to live on and the biggest problem seems to stem from seeing others having greater material wealth, not realising what they already have. Not giving a thought that other people manage with much less. There will always be someone who has something you don't, missing that point only highlights what you don't have and leads to misery.

There are unhappy people, people who complain about how hard-up they are despite earning what is, compared to many a fortune.

I once thought I was broke. I earned roughly what I do now but still lived with my parents. On the same salary I can now pay a mortgage and support my wife and child. I am then told by a friend who earns 3 times my salary that he is worried about how hard up he is. It's surprising what you can live on.

If you can make the most of what you have and be grateful for it, you'll be happier.

To some extent, yes but I won't do anything for money because I believe the highest form of happiness comes from other things in life, such as a good relationship with your family and others, great friends, peace inside oneself....

I believe I would be awful sad without it. But money in itself does not make me happy. They say money cannot buy hapiness, but it sure makes it easier being sad.

Money is simply a means for exchange. It will not by itself do anything for you. Having money will allow options. Not having money can make you miserable, especially if you struggle.

Sad to say, but maybe.
I guess 'cause it'll get me debt free.

However, I'll still will never 'love' money, for that is the root of evil.

no you either don't have enough or have so much you don't know what to do with it,or you owe someone,or someone owes you,it is a means to an end and the happiness you get from it is temporary...and you can't take it with you!
