I mean, you might consider this question ignorant to (lol), but some questions are very good questions but yet they go unanswered. But the ignorant questions like "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" which has been asked a million times gets the most answers.

I don't get it.

I think in a way you've answered your own question...

What you call ignorant questions (what's your favorite color, do you like Brittny, why did the chicken... etc.) don't call for any thought, any real knowledge. They are the kind of things that require only an opinion or a wise-*** attitude.

A lot of the folks on this board are just, well, bored, and killing time. So they go for this bait.

Someone comes on with a real question, a subject for real discussion, something that requires a bit of genuine knowledge, unless they know how to dangle bait (i.e.m trolling experts) aren't going to attract much interest.
I've asked some pretty interesting questions and gotten either none or only one or two answers.

I've tried to ask only questions the answers to which might inform me about other's thoughts.
I try to answer if I think I have something useful or different to say.

And I don't mind taking a moment to formulate my answer.

In effect, I use Q&A as a writing exercise. If what I offer is useful, great.

I try not to wise off, though sometimes you have to chirp up when people's attitudes are revealed as ugly or mean. I won't let that go sometimes. But I still try to be civil.

But then, I also check my spelling and grammar.
So I think I am approaching Q&A differently than many.

If people do not know the answer, they skip them or answer with a stupid answer. While answering all the easy questions to get the points. However, some people are really trying to help people and try to answer hard questions when they can, but cannot always be on the computer to answer them and they get missed.

Sadly, it's easier to answer the ignorant questions. Many
people will spend more time attempting humor than truly
helping people with legitimate questions.

This is a way for them to get a quick 2 points, not that it accounts for anything. They just might sprain their brain if they have to use it to answer a real question.
