When Tony Blair steps down, as he has prommised to do some time before the next ellection is due, the Labour part will have a vote to decide who amongst the currently sitting Labour MPs should be the next leader of the Labour party. Gordon Brown is the strong favourite to win the vote, although recently his lead has been reduced slightly, perhaps simply becuase he is the accepted successor to Blair.
So, given that Gordon Brown will be the next Prime Minister, the interesting question becomes 'who will win the next British General Ellection'. At pressent, forcasters tend to predict a narrow victory for David Cameron's Conservative Party, but since Brown's take over of the the Labour party is liable to introduce a large and unpredictable new factor, it is really impossible to say anything other than the next ellection will probably be tightly contested by Brown's Labour and Cameron's Conservatives.

Well i think the people should be asked. they can not agree within the party. This is wrong to be having class room battles in the commons. We are at war, we can't go kicking out the man that started it. What does that tell the enemy. They should all be done for treason, the ones that are bringing this to a head. I'll pull the rope!

Hopefully not Mr Brown, he wrecked the pensions for a lot of people and Labour will definitely lose the next General Election if he gets in.
Mind you, that may be a good thing and inevitable anyway.

No idea but I'll bet it's someone wanting the job for the cash etc benefits ...... I have yet to see/hear a politician who is in their job purely for the benefit of their country .
Cut their money to a reasonable level , take away the benefits we mere mortals would never see , and then see who's willing to take the job .... who ever did would "almost" certainly be in it for the pleasure of doing it for their country.

Brown should be now, but I guess it will be who ever George W. Bush wants. He'll tell Blair in due course, then Blair can leak it to us!

I just wish it could be someone who puts the welfare of British people above that of immigrants. Just the opposite of what happens now.
