Hi I am an Oncologist

Non invasive Breast cancer is not a cancer actually.
It is carcinoma in situ, a very early stage of cancer
-Stage 0 (thats early!)

Ya u need to remove the lump with margin and also recive Radiation atherapy to prevent recurrence.

Chemotherapy treats /kills cells that have invaded all over the body, bcos this disease is not invasive hence chemotherapy is not useful
You do not need any chemotherapy for this

I have non invasive breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy, and I'm going through radiation of the whole right breast. My last eight days of radiation they are going to just concentrate on the area where they cancer was. All non invasive means is it has not spread. It is the best type of cancer anyone wants to have.

Non-invasive breast cancer means that the cancer in the breast has not spread out of its original site. It is easy to remove and radiation will be focused on that area to kill any cancer cells left over!
