I would look into seeing how many hours your brother is pressing you to work for so you can figure out how much you are going to be getting paid per hour. And, it depends on where you are going to work. Im guessing the U.S. And, currently the federal minimum wage is $5.15 per hour, but each local government has different standards too. For example, in Santa Fe, NM the minimum wage is $9.50 per hour.
If you were GETTING 5.15 per hour, you are going to be expected to work over 40 hours a week. Im guessing that 5.15 is not what you are being paid per hour, that in fact you are getting more? I hope you continue and obtain your highschool diploma. Usually places will require that you at least have a GED in order to work. Working and going to school sometimes doesnt mix. Balance is important and you have to decide what is more important, work or school. There are arguments for both sides. But, a diploma is very important. And, if you are able to work toward getting a college degree, statistically you will be able to earn more money later in life and over a longer duration. If this is a full time job, I dont think its worth the money over bagging school.

How many hours do you have to work? $900-1200 a month isn't enough to live on but it's good for a part time job. Look into it further and be sure you know how it will affect your schooling and if you can do both go ahead and work.

It depends what the job is. Do you learn a skill that you can take with you to many other companies. Such as plumbing construction etc. If not, you will undoubtedly be "downsized" in a few years, with no high school diploma and no skills to find a new job, and likely no savings. If you get decent training go for it. If not take a part time job, finish school, then go from there.
Good luck to you.

How much do you get paid in an hour? Is that $900/month net pay (after tax)? Let's elaborate!
If you work full time (40hrs/week), for $900/month, that means you get paid only $5.63/hr. This is below the minimum wages. Furthermore, if $900/month is gross pay, then your net pay will be $630/month.
Even babysitting get paid more than that. Go and negotiate with them to get paid at least $15/hrs and ask them to make you an hourly employee. Its better for them and better for you.

If you can do it and stay in school great, but you have to be careful to, if his business went under and you lost your job you'd be unemployed and uneducated. His company may also need some collage later on???? think hard about it your future all depends on the decisions you make now!!!

Go for it that is good pay, not many kids have that opportunity. You can save for a car, things you want, and date money. You can really knock her off her feet with things. I'd do it. In California unemployment only pays 450.00 a week.

If you drop out of school you will possibly never make more than $1,200 a month. A lot of companies will not hire someone without a diploma or GED.

Go ahead. You have no reason not to. Just make sure if you dont like it that you end things with the job respectively so it does not show bad on your brother.

That's good pay, considering you are only 16 years old. If the job would not affect your study, or your basic obligations, why not? It's good to get some experience.
good luck!
