didnt have my period due to stress... now that i feel better i got my period... but its really heavy and hurts more than usual.. what should i do.

Well, anytime you have sex and you're fertile, you could be pregnant. But usually, if a woman has spotting while pregnant, it's fairly light. You could have had an early miscarriage, but it's probably just a bad period. You can test for pregnancy if you want, but that's probably not the issue. If you continue to have painful, irregular periods (irregular is usually defined as less than 6 periods in a year), then get checked out--it could be polycystic ovarian syndrome or dysmennorhea. You might be able to take meds to help. But this time, it's probably just a heavy period due to stress--I can't guarantee it, but heavy flow usually doesn't indicate pregnancy spotting.

go to the doctor or hospital if you have abnormal abdominal pain, fever, etc as you may have a partial or missed abortion (miscarriage) or even worse an ectopic pregnancy, this is no joke as these are serious medical problems that could kill you

You still should be checked by your ob/gyn. It probably is nothing to serious to worry about but it still is better to know for sure.
