Wash the area with cool soap and water then apply calimine lotion or aveno lotion. Also there is a product called Zanfel (there are generics) that is over the counter that really works well. a bit pricy but well worth it. Some say take an old rag and a solution of 1/4 cup clorox to 2 cups water. very carefully dab the solution on to the areas. will burn like hell but the poison ivy will dry up faster and you will feel better afterwards. Also benadryl for itching...

Mix some arm & hammer baking powder with water. Put the arm & hammer in a bowl and put the water in it while you're mixing it up until you have a paste. Apply the paste everywhere there is a rash, and leave it on until it dries and flakes off. The baking powder dries it out and relieves the itch.

Just go to your local drug store and get some of that "Calamine lotion" it makes your skin look "chalky" but it will indeed take away the itchy's!! Or some people recommend some kind of Oatmeal treatment...lotion.. some people swear by that! I've never used that on my kids.. Calamine lotion worked just fine, for chicken pox, too, for my kids, so I highly recommend it! Poor baby, I hope you feel better, soon !! Smile! Oh, the calamine lotion comes in a pink bottle, just so you know...

it sounds stupid, i know but it helps if you put cold sour cream on the poison ivy. or just go with calamine lotion. but wash you arms and chin first.
