That my dear is called sexual harrassment. Tell your parents then the police. I understand that schools don't accept violence but that is just ridiculous.

Talk to the school director right away! If this is how it went down, then you are in the right, and should not be punished at all. I find it hard to believe anyone would punish the victim!! If you go to your parents, would they do anything, or are you in a situation to where you can't go to them? This is sexual harassment, and for you to be punished also, is just not right. When you talk to the director, tell him that if he won't protect you, then maybe you should get the police involved! They don't want any trouble like that, so I would say you will get it straightened out. They don't like any police coming to the school, or any threat of a lawsuit, but if that is what it takes to get justice, then don't be afraid to stand your ground. Good Luck!

What you should of done in the first place is gone to a teacher or the principal of the school and tell them what happened. Every adult is on your side when that kind of thing happens, if they refuse to do anything then get in contact with the people in charge of -them- like the school Dean and if that still fails make sure to tell your parents.

Well, I think you should just take your detention. It is good practice for the real world. In the real world if someone physically assaults you, you can press charges. But if you hit them back & are fighting with them then you can get in trouble too. (However, being a girl . . . GOOD FOR YOU!! The detention is worth it.)

unfortunately there's little you can do as in most schools retaliation is just as bad as making the first move. You shouldn't have kicked him in the shins, there are other ways of dealing with this. However, you should make it clear to them that what he did was Sexual harassment/assualt

I would get your parents to tell the school you will not serve this time because you were protecting yourself. And if they would rather that you will puch sexual assult on the boy with the police.
If the act as if this isnt a big deal i would get the whole school board involved.

Did you explain what happened details and all? If so then tell the school you are pressing harassment charges with the local police and do it then tell the school that you feel the punishment you got compared to his was unjust and tell your parents to help you.

You discovered that they don't agree with violence after launching a violent attck on a fellow pupil? Why do you think they have teachers in schools?
