My mom says that stripes don't look good on anyone vertically or horizontally...true or false???

It depends what kind of striped you are talking about. Gap is perfect in introducing striped sweaters. The color combinations are excellent. Diagonal stripe shirts look pretty neat. JC Penney has a brand called J. Ferrar, try that. I have got two shirts and get compliments all the time. Try that !!! Thanks

some people look good in stripes if you are heavier then i would try pin stripes otherwise it is personal opinion

Mom's right. Horizontal stripes make you look fat and vertical one's make people dizzy.

if ure on the heavy side and you where yellow and black stripes u tend to look like a bumble bee. that's just my opinion though...

well first of all if you want to get stiped clotheing it should be your choice. second,i think that stipes are ok sometimes. sometimes if it's rainbow then no. if it's like two good colors than yes.
of course that is just my opinion. everybody has a different point of view
