I don't really. the food gets cold, and all these giant families come with there kids and the kids stick their hands in the food and don't know how to pick it up.

No. Every buffet I have been to has been pretty shady. 90% of the time I see many health code violations, like putting fresh food on top of the old food that has been sitting out all day, or not keeping the buffet tables hot enough which will cause food poisoning, and just plain poor sanitation. If you pay attention and know what to look for, it can be pretty disgusting.

No, and I don't really like the help-yourself salad bars either. I once got food poisoning from eating something on a salad bar, so I am wary. Also, I think I tend to eat more when I go to a buffet and the food is not as high quality. I would rather get a satisfying and high quality meal prepared just for me, rather than a sampling of mediocre fare on a buffet.

Buffet's are the lowest form of dining outside the home. Places like Ryan's, Fire Mountain, Golden Corral, Old Country Buffet and even Ponderosa are harbingers of filth and cheap eats. Thanks to these places, people get the perception that low quality food is cost effective and satisfying. It is not.

Put that 10 bucks toward a decent, and almost always filling, meal. It's like cattle lining up at the trough at feeding time. Have some dignity people!

PS - Chinese buffets are ok.

If the buffet is managed correctly and there are workers who make sure that people are following the rules, I LOVE buffets. Most of the resturant-type buffets that I've gone to people know how to serve themselves properly.

It's the private party buffets at weddings and such where people don't do things correctly and small children run amok.

I like buffets but only if they have a lot of stuff that I like, and tastes good. Sometimes food at buffets just doesn't taste the same as it normally would.

Chinese buffets on the weekend when they add shrimp, scallops, crab legs and lobster to the menu. It's the only food I will eat enough of to cover the cost of the buffet meal.

I like some buffets. But others are pretty plain. But most of the time you do get a pretty good meal for a reasonable price.

Buffets are generally considered "low-class" food establishments here in downtown Washington, DC.

I avoid going to buffets, because I have gotten food poisoning from them and because everything they serve is mostly deep-fried and has lots of calories.
