My (ex)boyfriend and I broke up recently. During our relationship, he gave that whole "we'll be together forever, I love you" impression, yaknow? So I let myself begin to trust him, and he meant the world to me. Then, he broke up with me, with no explanation. Then he said he just didn't want to be in a relationship at the time. But when he said that, I found out that he WAS already in another relationship. Then finally I had enough and asked him what his REAL reason for breaking up with me was. He said that he never liked me, he only got into the relationship basically to kill boredom, or so he says. So basically, everything was a lie.
A LOT of my friend are friends with him, too. Including my best friend. And he had acted like an @$$ toward her, and a lot of people said that he was acting like an @$$ ever since he broke up with me. My friend confronted him about it, and they're cool now. But now she feel torn between us. Should I forgive and forget?

I would suggest forgive and forget. Staying angry will only keep you miserable. I would forget because that will keep you from forgiving and moving past this. You'll find someone again, do not let this experience keep you back from being happy.

I think he is a lair. He is just saying all those hurtful things just to make the break-up easier. I know that sounds strange, but people like to hurt others. I don't think everything was a lie, I think he just doesn't want you bugging him or trying to get back with him, so he said the cruelest thing he could think of to get you to back off.....take the advice, find a great decent guy and learn to trust again. You don't want an a** like this in your life anyway!! You deserve better!!

Don't Forget! But you can forgive. Just don't be all friendly with him but you can say Hi or whatever.
