There is no way to know until you're dead. The ultimate truth of the matter is that people really want there to be an afterlife because they are hesitant to accept that this is all they get. Whether or not there IS an afterlife, the best thing to do is to Actually live this life as if there isn't one. If there isn't, then you'll have no regrets, and if there is, it's a bonus.

People have near death experiences with the same theme and usually experience a change in the way they view life after wards, but skeptics claim it due to altered brain chemicals, or hypoxia, or any other physical assumption they can think of .
Some people claim they have seen ghosts, but skeptics claim they scared their own self in believing something was there that was not.
If you ever tell anyone you heard the dead whisper, you will be diagnosed with schizophrenia.
People without faith claim we invented God, afterlife, and our spirit when we became aware of our mortality.
People with faith claim we all go forth into an afterlife and meet our fate based upon what we did on earth.
Our mind, or the matter called the brain is far more complex than any existing piece of matter on earth. No one knows indefinitely. All the proof of immortality would never satisfy everyone.
However, I have seen enough proof in my life to know without a doubt we don't end with death of the body.

There is no way anyone could possibly know; such is the great mystery of life. It's the hope, or, more appropriate, faith that there is an afterlife that gives people meaning. Others are content to just not know. But whatever anyone tells you, no matter what you want to believe, the real answer is that no one knows... it's not the easy answer, but it is the real one.

i belive that when you die you won`t even know it! i also belive you go into a dream state. think about it. if you dream 4 only 5 to 10 min. a night and it seems like you dream all the night.. when you die it still takes your brain 2 to 4 hours before it has no activity that to me would seem like a v v v v very long time to dream right? don`t spend a lot of your time thinking about death! just live man live!

I believe in Heaven and a spiritual life after death. We don't know enough (or anything) about that afterlife to make any determinations. I'm sure it's possible that angels or spirits can sometimes make journey's back to this reality.

It's all in your beliefs, and they are many and variant in nature. I personally believe in reincarnation. There are only two guarantee's in life; Life and Death. You live your life leading up to your death for which the end result spawns Life.

Yes, life goes on after death. There are bits and pieces of hints, giving us glimpse of this reality. But as long as we are alive we cannot have full knowledge of what goes on after death.

Life after death: yes. Paranormal: yes, but not fully. Can they talk? Yeah, demons can, the dead can't.
