The usa uses about 1/4 of the total world energy consumption.
Electricity is slightly different the usa uses around a 1/5 of the world total. US: 3.6 trillion kwh World: 15 trillion kwh.

electricity
water
oil
natural gas
food
wood
iron
coal
paper
the list would go on but i don't have enough time.

WA KKG is wrong - the website he got it from shows how stupid knowledgable people can be. It leaves out the USA and the UK completely and says Cyprus consumes no electricity at all! It claims to take its facts from the CIA World Factbook - but when you check this you find

3)Japan

9)Brazil

Electricity constantly going to sport stadiums for Hockey football baseball basketball.

check out World Factbook on the CIAs website it has this info. and every other type of list you can think of such as i.g. oil consumption, trade imports/exports, etc.
