I am having a hard time finding a good job. Right now, I am looking 4 work in the Administrative field. It seems like I can't find a job & no one calls me back. I do everything that they say you r suppose 2 do. I have 2 yrs college and about 4 -5 yrs experience in contract jobs as an Administrative Assistant. I had an interview at a lawyers office, pharmacy, poultry office, furniture store...etc., & it goes on & on. I dress professional, act professional, am very friendly during the interview and smile alot, I don't giggle or act stupid, I don't fidget or act nervous, I practice with my bf days before an interview 4 answering questions, I ask good questions during the interview & I even have been told by the interviewers that they are very impressed with my resume. I am honest about my experience & education & have excellent references from previous employers. I send thank you letters after each interview, I'm not too pushy but I do show that I am interested. What am I doing wrong?

you seem to be doing all the right things. but at the same time when i interview some girls for administrative positions if they are to "perfect" they dont seem real. i want someone who is able to communicate well with the customers on any level and with not being yourself a little i cant really tell how you are. its ok to act professional its the best way to be but also be yourself more (not saying that your not) be relaxed, when a girl comes in with a great resume great attitude and also shes personal shes most likely to get hired by me. not only do you have to look good on paper you have to be able to communicate well in person, when you practice to much you sometimes become like a robot becauase i used to do that alot but then i began to just run through it once the day before and go in positive and just being myself and it works. good luck in your search... ps its also a hard job market out there right now :).

Everything you say sounds good. You might have left something out, its hard to say. You should keep contracting. They might be put off by the fact that you haven't worked anywhere permanently, so be sure to tell them that you love your work, but you want something permanent. Tell them you enjoyed contracting because it gave you a chance to work at different places and get a varied experience, but you're ready to settle down and stay at one place. Do some research on the place before you go there. If they've been in business for a long time, ask how long they've been in business. Then act surprised and say great, because you want to work for a solid, established company that's going to be around.

Keep working at it. Work at it 40 hours a week, just like a job.

Do you actually do an interview? If so, work on the interviewing skills. Otherwise put a resume out on hotjobs.com or monster.com etc. You can also search right in Yahoo for adminstrative jobs anywhere you want to go.

Getting your foot in the door for the interview is half the battle. Unfortunately, it's a "buyers market" and employers can afford to be extremely picky. It may simply be that you're up against a lot of other candidates. Do you have any particularly useful skills that may help you outshine your competition? (are you a wiz with computers, for example?)

For populations that were demise because of disease or lack of existence in conflict and organic disaster, you may actually imagine that homosexuality replaced into discouraged because it diverted sexual means from duplicate. i think that in case you verify the ten Commandments you'll discover that each replaced into defined to deter moves that tended to have undesirable outcomes for those societies on the on the spot and probably nevertheless does. in various situations, basically as you've defined and to the more suitable international of the twenty first century, those undesirable outcomes seem truly logical. In Biblical circumstances, surely some understood the common sense or had the understanding. Moses replaced into very smart certainly and knew that the lengthy suffering Tribes might want to in no way have believed he might want to in my view have such understanding yet when he defined those because the words of God, properly . . . . . .
