I'm 21 years old and i'm 13 weeks pregnant. I went to see the doc last week Aug. 31st and he said eveyrthing looks great but he never found the baby's heart beat so i've been kind of worried ever since. Yesterday i started to spott a tiny bit and its dark but there has been a few "thicker" spots but they are also tiny and dark in color. Should i be worried?

you should hear the heartbeat or at least see it by ultrasound at 13 weeks! I had the same thing I am 13 weeks today but when I went to ER they saw and heard the heartbeat. You need to see the doc asap.
Good Luck

Your doctor should have done an ultra sound since he could not hear it with the doppler. Sometimes the heartbeat cannot be detected until 14 weeks on some women. Call your doctor.

Call your doctor, I had the same thing and I called my doctor ...he had me come in immediatly for an internal exam and then he sent me to have an immediate ultrasound...luckily everything was OK...and now I'm at 34 weeks with a big bouncing baby boy, but anytime you have anything like that ...you call your doctor...that's why they make the big bucks...don't feel bad EVER about calling them over any little thing...they're used to it...and they expect it...do it.

I would say to contact your Dr. dont get alarmed if your not having super bad cramps then it might just be a short period but still have an ultrasound done! Good Luck!

they told me the spotting during pregnancy is normal. Make sure your Rh is not negative, if it's negative you need a shot. Ask your doctor for an ultrasound to find a heartbeat.
