i was talking to some friends about movies and said i hated it. they looked at me weird, it wasn't funny. the story was pointless, and the character was the most annoying character ever. why do people like this sad excuse for a movie?

I don't like it either. People say you have to watch it a few times to find it funny. I think you have to be drugged up to find it funny. I couldn't possibly force myself to watch it again to find out if it was better the second time around - Can you say TORTURE!

People like it for it's randomness, I mean the strange lines, the strange characters, it is just a random movie, pointless and that is why people love it.

I'm sorry but I thought that was one of the funniest movies I have seen in quite some time. Campy? yes. Annoying? yes. But the characters reminded me of people I went to school with back in the 70's and I couldn't help but find it hilarious!

others may not like it too. And the sad excuse? It's not like that to others, cause they think different. I personaly kind of like napoleon dynamite

"Hate" is too strong a word. I didn't care for it, I think it was hyped WAY beyond its qualities, and I don't care if I ever see it again. My son loves it, so I had to see it with him...which, come to think of it, is how I get roped into seeing Will Ferrell films, too.

everyone told me it was hilarious, i thought it was the most stupidest movie so far. on the other hand i didnt even get to finish the movie it was that dumb.
