I will be raising two Boer goats over a five-seven month span. One for majors and one for district. I basicly know alot about these animals, but does anyone have any advice they can share with me on raising good show meat goats? Any stories that could help me?

Age would help, but there is a mineral block you should get, they love it and it is really good for them, look at your local feed store.

There are many supplements to give them, but one I love the best is Show Bloom. It isn't as expensive and you really see results. Do a search and you may have a dealer right near you.

You have to teach them to lead and everything, I'm sure you know all the stuff like that.

Sometimes you can build more muscle by creating a step so to speak, you can buy stuff like it at www.sydell.com
But you can build a 'step' for their front feet to stand on (their back legs on the ground, walking on essentially on 2 legs) and maybe hook it to a vehicle, ATV, or tractor. Slowly take them for a walk, with someone watching them to make sure they are okay and they will gain good hindquarter muscles.

Exercise to build muscle is huge. Disposition is huge. You can't help genetic make-up, but the rest hopefully helps. Supplements are better to create good growth or exercise. Using one or even both wouldn't hurt.
