I cannot understand this either! After his interview with Oprah Winfrey and Matt Lauer, I don't understand how anyone could take him seriously. He is a jerk. If he is such a pillar of the Scientology community, why didn't he marry the girl before he impregnated her? He seems to have no idea of decorum or social graces at all. He's all about Tom so the rest of the world can drop dead. Where have we ever read about his philanthropy or good will works? Where have we ever read about his sincerity or concern for the common good? No, it's all about Tom and I am truly not interested.

it is basically because he made a fool out of himself jumping up and down on Oprah's couch and continued to act like a fool.. this gave HUGE curiousity to his future child at the time.. also, why didn't he have a biological child with his first two wives?? why did he adopt then and not now with Katie? Then came the allegations he made towards Brooke Shields - for taking medications for her post-partum depression - that just made the curiousity grown even more.

Most famous folks take pictures of their little babies and show the world or at least friends etc.. these guys (I think) were very smart and let us all wait... good for them. I am sure they were the ones laughing at us when we were making allegations that their child did not exist, or was an alien, or was so ugly they were embarassed.....

.. also, they are laughing even harder at us while they walk to the bank - again - with what they made on those pictures to be in Vanity Fair...

Nope, not so much. I think it was just another publicity stunt by Tom Cruise after he got fired. First the Brooke Shields apology and as a last ditch effort, baby piuctures. Unbelievably shallow and so uninteresting. Ho-hum.

I somewhat care. I wonder if its theirs .. but really I could care less about her "debut" .. uhh whatever what has she done thats so special .. its a BABY w. annoying parents. I kinda feel bad for her & how she'll have to grow up [Scientology ?!!!]

But the reason people care so much is that societly loveees controversy. & there is a ton of it surrounding TomKat & Co.

Because he is a high profile individual who happens to be rich. That makes him worthy for the paparazzi. Some people like to gossip, some could care less. I personally don't care, but she is cute.

Couldn't care less. It's all about the rumors about Tom Cruise being gay and a scientologist.

I could care less. I think the people who are so interested should focus their attention onto their own children and family.

It's just an ugly baby. Why is that important?

This is a bigger headline today.
