lines do not have endpoints. however, segments do have endpoints. lines go infinitely in two directions. segments are defined by their endpoints.

similarly, planes do not have edges. planes are flat and extend infinitely in all four directions.

Lines and planes are 'infinite' They are 'flat' and continue on forever. Lines in two directions (1 dimension), planes in all directions (2 dimensions).

Line SEGMENTS have end points. You can contain a portion of a plane within a closed figure (like a circle, oval, triangle, square, or irregularly shaped FLAT figure).
