I believe that you just deleted the icon (a copy) of your recycle bin. Actually, you did not remove your physical recycle bin from your hard disk. You could find Recycle Bin on your inside pc search.
At any time, you can restore any thing missing from your pc by clicking "Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Restore." Your pc will automatically restore the "missing" Recycle Bin for you.
Good luck :~)

If you mean empty your recycle bin, it means the files in the Recycle Bin are permanently deleted.

yea like the previous posters said...... yea indeed it go's on ur hard drive and there it stays..... so if u decide to dump ur computer in the local dump some clever person can take it home and retrieve all ur information from ur hard drive.......
my husband retrieved photographs from the hard drive even tho he formatted the computer! there are programmes out there to do it
just remember the police can retrieve anything from ur computer.... even if you have deleted it months or yrs ago, thats how the prosecute some sexual offenders when the retrieve information they though they had deleted from their computer
so the answer is distroy ur harddrive when gettin rid of ur pc!

The answer is the info goes nowhere. The info is simply removed from being able to browse it and access it conventionally, and is flagged for deletion. This space is then overwritten by new data that you save to your hard drive.

It doesn`t go anywhere, put simply, the memory location that the `deleted` file is occupying is made available to be overwritten.
Once it is overwritten as far as I know,it cannot be retrieved.
But I could well be wrong, someone will know.

same place all deleted files go. they go nowhere, they remain on the hard drive but unseen to the user. they will remain on the hard drive until such time that they are overwritten by more files at a point in the future
