a werecat is a simular creature to a werewolf. One of many legends of lychanthropes to popular retellings. Why should the dogs get all the fun?

However I don't think what you are describing is a werecat of legend. It is known that humans have or used to have tails. It is evident to see proof of this by examining the human skeleton and seeing that small short nub and the very end of the spine....I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, that part of you bottom that hurts like crazy when you land just right to jar it. Some humans today are actually born with tails like this and the parents opt to have it cut off like any other birth defect. At such a young age hardly a scar would be noticeable. However if the tail is not cut at birth the tail is imagined to grow to a length of a mere inch or three inches, and be barely noticeable unless actually searched for.

In folklore and fantasy fiction, Werecats are shapeshifters who are similar to werewolves, except that they turn into some species of feline instead of a wolf. The species involved can be a domestic cat, a tiger, a lion, a leopard, a lynx, or any other type, including some that are purely fantastical felines. Typically, an individual werecat can only transform to one unique feline, not to a number of different species. The word "werecat" was not coined until the late 19th century, so it was not directly used in legends from earlier eras, only by later folklorists' commentary

hope this helped.

Once I had a girl on Rocky Top
Half bear, the other half cat

That's in one of the official state songs of Tennessee ("Rocky Top.") So it must be true, right?

What you encountered was a vestigial tail. It's a protrusion of the tailbone (everybody usually has a tailbone, but it's just a little nub at the end of the spinal vertebrae.) It's not anything like a werecat, just a little skeletal anomaly.

well if you go by the D&D monster manual a werecat is a creature that is like a werewolf but insted of changing to a wolf form on a full moon they change into a large cat. (usually something along the lines of a panther or lion)

That is not a werecat, some people are born with tails. It is a genetic throwback to when we were monkeys.

I've heard of that, it's a rare genetic thing that usually gets removed shortly after the person is born, so they don't have to go around with a tail.

And you just casually ran your hand over her tail? Is that something you are in the habit of doing? How often do you get arrested?

Other than early morning pleasantries, people do have physical deformities you know.
