dilute acid and weak acid
Both are "less strong" acids (not of original strength); yet, diluted requires a liquid to make it "less strong"

concentrated acid and strong acid
Again, both are not "weak" acids; yet, "concentrated" implies "more pure" and "strong" implies the strength of as acid. To illustrate one could have a "concentrated weak acid."

melt and a liquid
Both are describe matter; yet, "melt" describes an action or reaction of the matter and "liquid" describes a state of matter.

I hope the 3 of 5 helps.

Diluted acid does not necessarily mean it's weak acid, just diluted.
Concentrated acid doesn't mean it's strong acid.
Fuming means vapors. Effervescent means bubbles.
Melt means changing to a liquid. Liquid didn't necessarily change from anything INTO a liquid. It always could have been a liquid and not solid or gas.
Hydrate and carbohydrate doesn't even make sense.
One has to do with water, the other has to do with sugar content.
Hope this helps and hope I'm not wrong, but I'm no scientist.
I just paid attention in school. ; )
