Not at all. It's great that you are thinking ahead. You can start taking OTC prenatal vitamins. Target makes a good one. I take them while ttc and then switch to the Rx ones when I am pregnant because they have more follic acid.

The better shape you're in doesn't necessarily mean you'll conceive right away, but I know many people that couldn't conceive because they were overweight. Once they lost weight, they got pregnant. You are less likely to get gestational diabetes if you are in shape before you get pregnant. Exercising regularly before you get pregnant will help you maintain a reasonable exercise routine while pregnant which will not only help your pregnancy go much more smoothly, but the delivery and getting back into shape after wards.

Best of luck to you and keep up the good attitude. Responsibility comes way before conception. It's good to see more adults taking reproducing serious.

It's never too early to start preparing your body. I was exercising vigorousl twice daily at a gym long before I became pregnant with my first daughter. I was able to continue working out throughout the pregnancy and I ended up gaining only 15 lbs. Pills? What kinds of pills are you talking about?
Diets? Why do you want to diet if you're going to work out?
Talk to a ob-gyn. They'll be able to guide you best of all.

it's never too early. the healthier you both will be the more chances you'll have to have a healthy baby. and the pregnancy should be easier (like, they say that taking vitamins of group B can prevent morning sickness). And of course, exercise... You shouldn't start any new physical routine when pregnant, so think about your body before, and keep doing easy exercises when already pregnant. Good luck.

It's never too early to start your prenatal vitamins, have a complete physical including blood work, and begin or continue a reasonable exercise program. Stop smoking if you need to (it's amazing how often smoking comes up as a factor in everything from low birth weight to miscarriages), and limit alcohol intake. Having said all that, enjoy your husband because getting pregnant can be very fun!!!!

It's never too early to make sure you're healthy and prepared. Six months is time to get your body in very good shape with exercise and a healthy diet. And you should start taking folic acid as well; it needs to be in your system in sufficient amount at conception to protect against neural tube defects.

Perfect. It is highly recommended to start taking prenatal vitamins 3-6 months before trying to get pregnant to help prevent certain Neural Tube disorders such as Spina Bifida. I lost a baby last month at 21 weeks and my doctor told me to keep taking my vitamins since we plan on trying again in Feb. I am also getting back into my exercise routine so I can lose more weight before trying again.

Not at all, good eating, exercise and vitamins should be part of your life anyhow.

Talk with your doc, he might be able to recommend exercises to start now to help with labor.

It's about four months too late. You won't manage to start a family until June at the earliest now.
