Not looking for personal advice, just wondering what everyone's "policy" on this is.

In response to Lost Soul's comment: my friend is my roommate and we've been living together since December and have made a very close bond in the last 6 months or so, even to the point where we are jealous of each other. We both say we're best friends, but maybe just maybe, 6 months is short enough time for a person to be your best friend and subsequently a boyfriend (as opposed to 6 YEARS, which is way too long).

simply go out and have fun... without calling it dating... monitor yourselves as you go and do what you determine is best for the best relationship possible. Happiness is something you work for, so work at it, and earn all you can for now and the long haul.

I look at it like this if i was to be going down the road and see a guy and i stopped and said get in i want you to fu--k me, He would get in and go with me, But i could see the same person and stop and ask them to get in that i need a friend ( A TRUE FRIEND THAT IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THERE FOR ME) that will tell me that i am wrong when i really am wrong. You can count your true friends one one hand and still have some fingers left and your mom and dad don't count.True friends are hard to come by......AND THIS IS SO TRUE!!!!!!

This is a stupid question. For one how does 6 months make someone your best friend. Second don't date someone just because they are your best friend you need to have a friendship to have a great love that is true but you need more then friendship you need the feeling of love. So hope that helps you even though you were not looking for advice... it is a dumb question to begin with but an easy 2 pts...

My PIC (Partner In Crime) and I are both lesbians. I've known her for 7 years and I would never think of her in any other way than my sister. She's like the other half of me, and I can't see her any other way.

Of course. We did and we are still best friends, 20 years later.

not unless you are willing to risk losing the person as a friend should things not work out. You can't unscramble eggs.

Absolutely - take a risk, life is boring without any risk at all! All the very best to you.

My best friend is my sister, and while we're both suddenly single, that might get awkward.

Dude. Date your friend.

Depends on how much you value their friendship. Friends usually hang around longer in one's life it seems.

No, my best friend is Bisexual but she's like a sister to me and i can't imagine being anything but friends with her. It would mess everything up between us if we turned it sexual.
