im doing an english project and on one half of the bristol board has to be a collage and on the other half has to be a writting piece...does anyone have any ideas how i can make my bristiol board look creative and how i should cut it in half?

You could create an area in the middle where some pictures mingle with letters to make a transition zone (between image and words where they all mix). Other options include fabric, some material that represents the subject of your project, thin sticks glued in place (you can always glitter or paint them), etc.

one thing that might add even more interest is to use those glue tabs that raise up the top paper from the bottom. I can't remember what they are called. But it would add depth and interest to your project. Use some vellum paper, and have little pockets with writing in them. Look in a scrapbooking magazine for some great ideas!

If you want to do it strictly by area...how about measuring it, I forget their dimensions, divide the sq inches in 1/2. Then make a block in the middle that size.

Your collage can frame your writing.

Use a drawing of a lightning bolt, fence, railroad track, knife, highway or something obviously linear that relates to your project. Divide the space in half diagonally from one corner to the other.
