Money is what makes the world go round. Everything revolves around it whether we like to admit it or not. When someone doesn't have enough, they may harbor resentment for the ones that do, or they may be happier about it, and just not like the snotty attitude of the ones that do. It's all in person-to-person situations. I don't believe in sociology. I believe in psychology, cause you can't figure out interactions without knowing each individual case study.

As for political, I ain't gettin' into that one :-P

Money in this society equates to status, and hence power. Power and status allow people to influence others, socially or politically.
