Why guy would proceed "use" you if you were both discussing the topic previously? Unless he is a total pompous douche who thinks very little of you, its probably his way of bringing up a topic that is difficult for MANY high school (and beyond) guys...asking a girl out.
You should say yes, but don't worry too much about the romantic part. Even guy friends get nervous asking their platonic girlfriends and this could be his way of keeping it casual and friendly.
But since prom is a spring event, don't be suprise if you both change your minds about who you want to attend with...

Ouch, what a dilema yet optimistically this can help you out. ask your self which guy are you able to word understanding further down the line? i'm Australian and we had our formal 2 weeks in the past and that i had to bypass with a guy that i know truly properly and may want to make certain myself understanding him further down the line. yet there wasn't. the reason why I informed you to ask your self that question is that because then later on you both can talk about it and likewise will make it alot more desirable particular reason it truly is basically no longer yet another guy that you want a lifeless ringer for the dates of the different ladies. So i'm questioning guy a million! yet, you're making that determination. also, once you artwork this out the surely way in telling them and letting the different 2 adult men is with the help of telling the actuality and why you opt for the guy that your going with. they might want to optimistically keep in mind that! all the proper wonderful :D

I don't think that it was wrong of you to say yes, but i think that you should be a little worried about his intensions. I mean he asks you right after a conversation like that? Plus it's a really long ways off. And another thing to think about; it sounds like you guys are close friends, do you really want to risk that by maybe getting involved?

Why not go with him unless you're seeing someone else? It's kind of early to make plans though. At least one of you will probably be dating someone else by prom time.

yeah, if it is really what you want, i mean if you want more than just a friendship, maybe you two can become more as a result of the prom, but don't go if you think it will jeporadize your friendship, good luck
