The earths temperature has been steadly rising over the last 15k yrs, long before the industrial revolution. Also, remember that there is scientific evidence to show that the earth has went through several ice ages with 60 k year cycles. If you look at even fossil evidence you'll see that during the permion era florida and most of texas was underwater, as well as many other places around the world. The earth goes through its own seasonal cycle on a scale of thousands of yrs just as it does on a yearly rate.

You are right, but the magnitude of the cycle we are producing dwarfs the natural cycles.

CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater. These are two of the main pollutants humans put into the atmosphere in excess, and they are two of the primary greenhouse gases.

Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950 after a fairly stable climate for 1000 years. In fact, the 10 hottest years in recorded history have all happened since 1990, with 2005 being the hottest, and 2006 is shaping up to maybe break that record.
(see links below)

How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.

There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.

Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.

Just to be clear, glacial and interglacial cycles are mainly controlled by astronomical fluctuations, but we have a detailed record of the last 7 cycles, and what the climate and CO2 is doing now is way different and extreme. The rate of increase is much higher than in the past AND the value itself is much higher.

Earth has gone through 4 ice ages in the last 2 millions yrs. Yes this is a natural phenomena. However, the industrial revolution has greatly increased the rate of warming. No, we will not stop global warming, but we have an obligation to do all we can to slow it to normal rates. Humans have been on Earth 2 million yrs. Our population is much greater than it was 15 thousand yrs. ago. In the last ice age 2/3 of North America was covered by glaciers. Where would all the people go? How would they eat?

Yeah I reckon you're right, the last ice age isn't even over yet, we are just at the tail end of it. I believe that the Earth constantly goes through cycles in order to regenerate and that anything we have done that might seem to accelerate the process is all part of the process. We should not forget that we are part of the ecosystem, not someone looking in from the outside. That doesn't give us the right to trash the planet though, we have intelligence and have an ethical and moral responsibility to use it and try to give the best possible planet to the next generation so that they can continue the species - the same as any other animal really...

There is also evidence that says the rate of increase dramatically since the industrial revolution. We also know the mechanisms that causes this natural temperature change. These are called green house gasses. We have all heard of them. Yes they occur naturally. But we have been pumping huge amounts of "unnaturally" made green house gasses into the air. So now we are adding a human element to the equation that has already been balanced by nature. This tips the scales in the global warning's favor. We are experiencing the kind of change in 100 years that used to take 1000 years. Also, what harm could it do to stop using green house gasses. There are about 1000 other reasons we shouldn't use them anyway.

Voila! an surprising topic wherein hardship-loose floor between 2 very countless issues must be discovered. whether you have faith in worldwide Warming or no longer the actuality nevertheless continues to be temperatures are turning out to be and the polar ice caps are melting. you will possibly ought to blind or stay below a rock to no longer be conscious those issues. the main reason i think of that many human beings placed this off as fiction is with the help of the fact in the event that they agree and carry on with technology this time it makes them look undesirable for putting different issues off that technology has additionally shown actuality (evolution, great bang thought, and so on.). they do no longer wanna part with it now to sidestep looking undesirable in the long-term it is undeniable BS. it is wintry climate right here in Florida and we are dealing with 80 degree climate! I propose this is many times warm, no lie, yet wintry climate is many times the time the place it drops to a minimum of 60. Why human beings won't have the ability to place their ideals aside to realize our planet is in severe hardship is previous me. the two way Christianity has constantly achieved the different of what it is supposedly meant to do....

First, take your head out of the sand. Then read this:
The temperature NEVER rose so fast as the last decades... Unless having major happenings like comet impacts.
The 6.5 billion people polluting the earth... Yes, that falls under a major happening too.

looks like the cronies in the bush administration have gotten to you already. yes there is a cycle, but never has the cycle been so accelerated, the acceleration of global warming can be traced back to the industrial revolution. dont listen to the government, they are lying to us

Bad news...read an article yesterday that says the most recent antartic ice core samples show a level of CO2 outside of any range seen in the last 600,000 years.

That does not mean that humans cannot speed it up. If it makes you feel any better, though, the scientist who discovered the hole in the ozone layer believes it is too late to stop it.

Leave the planet alone and let it heat up...I like the hot humid summers we now have and I could care less about our younger generation that will have to deal with it in about 70 years when I'm gone.
