I am heading there next month on business. Is it an exciting place to visit? Anything interesting to do?

my husbands best friend lived there for awhile and we visited him. Can say it was too exciting. (the city, not his friend:) )

And they will call it "bloomington-normal" which I think is really weird. Like, just because the cities' borders touch each other they must say them together.

I haven't been there in quite some time, though I used to attend Illinois State University in the mid-80's.

I used to work at the Monical's Pizza in Bloomington - if the manager still remembers "Wheezer," then she's been there a looooong time.

You might be able to catch a Redbirds football game or a concert, or you also have Peoria and Champaign-Urbana 45 minutes away along I-74 (west or east). Peoria is renowned for "Big Al's," a strip joint (if you're so inclined).
