Where can you learn to write in a very formal way?

Like in the way a legal document is worded? I think it is essential to use big words to show that you are educated and therefore not prone to being screwed as much ;)!

You learn to write well by reading classics.

BTW, you are wrong about the need for big words. Read Ernest Hemingway. His words were simple and his sentences short, and he won a Nobel for literature.

Also, in writing legal contracts it is far more important to be absolutely clear as to what you mean than it is to sound smart. Often, the con men look for people who want to look smart.
