This clinginess will drive anyone insane. I don't think this relationship is going to work unless she realizes what is wrong with her. This young lady needs to develop interests and have friends otherwise she will only get more and more dependent on you. The next thing you can expect is that she will start to imagine things and check on your every movement. Don't lose your temper but find a time to tell her how you feel, how you value the time you spend together but how you also need your own space. Maybe she has a strong sense of insecurity then perhaps you could reward her with a little present and lots of affection each time she gives you some space. She is too afraid to lose you, you know.

Have u ever though maybe why shes so insecure about u doing things wivout her? Sit her down and tell her what uv told us.. that her constant moaning and possesiveness is gettin u down and that one day u may eventually want out all 2getha! Im pretty sure she will then tell u WHY shes feelin that way! Has she put on weight at all recently that may have made her lost her confidence therefore worrying that u might look somewhere else? Or could she have Depression? It sounds 2 me like shes down herself and might just b snapping at u and wanting u 2 stay home because of it! If u love her.. u wont leave before finding out her side of things! Talk 2 her and share ur problems.. thats what loving couples do~work 2getha,not run away! Best of luck x

Well if your unhappy then you should leave the possessive girl alone and enjoy your life. No one should be stuck in a rut - you sound like a prisoner constantly being watched... life is too short. She should get a life too the moaning b1tch.

....hmmmmm...... depends on how much you like her......
If you really do love her and think that it is just a matter of insecurity and you think that with a little love and communication that you can help her then it's worth giving it ago.
However if she is really making you unhappy and you can see no way forward then this is probably the best time to get out of the relationship.
Just be kind when you dump her tho as she already seems so insecure.

seems to me that your girlfriend is so insecure, she can't trust you to go anywhere without her.
she feels if you go out on your own someone else better than her will whisk you away.
it's all down to her self esteem and security.
if you love her and want to work things out, prove to her that she is loved, wanted and mostly that she can trust you.
tell her that you understand it will be hard for her to let you out alone.
shower her with affection on your return, sounds like training a puppy i know but if you do love her then she's worth it.
if you can't be bothered to try then your relationship is beyond repair and you will have to leave. it will make her issues worse and will only prove all her fears were correct.
she is so afraid of losing you she is pushing you away but she doesn't realise it.
i hope you try to work things out before you give up. good luck x

Get A Pet Dog, A small One Like A Yorkie. She will take her attention off you and you can sneak out to the pub with the dog

obviously your girlfriend is very insecure.does she have a reason not to trust you? if not and you are suffering from the debris of another relationship you need to talk to her properly not demand but try and understand the reason for her behaviour and tell her it is unacceptable you are not the other guys she has dated. If you want it to work it will.do whats best for you as the only person you are responsible for is you

Just maybe you make her feel insecure....do you give her enough attention or do you just sit there swiggy beer and watching the footie and not speaking. Normally this is behaviour of someone who feels very unhappy with her lot.

Get out of the rut.
Find something else that makes you happy and get involved to the point of distraction. She will take the hint and leave then you can breathe easy once again...

If you want to work things out how about suggesting counselling (for both of you).
If she does not want that and will not listen then you will have to take action. She is driving you away, but maybe she does not realise this?
Have you sat her down and told her how you actually feel?
Good luck.
