Is it cheaper to drive to Croatia from birmingham Uk or get a flight next July?

You should definitely book a cheap flight - Wizzair flies directly from London-Luton to Zagreb - for around 50 sterling pounds or even less (the sooner you book, the cheaper it will be). On the other hand, traveling by car, bus or train will cost much more - return ticket around 150 sterling pounds or more.

Why not consider the more environmentally friendly option and take the train? You can travel from Birmingham New Street to Zagreb in a little over 24 hours.

Just got back from Croatia last week. The flight was £110 return. I can't see when you factor in fuel, food, accomodation, ferry, not to mention the hassle of it all, that driving would be an option at all!!

Flying to Croatia is really cheap nowadays, even cheaper than going by car, but going by car can be more fun and you will see other countries also ( France, Germany etc.), beside is good to have car in Croatia as public transport is really crap, Croatians usually relay on their cars. Have fun there is nice country

well a while ago i was planning to drive from newcastle to greece, and after calculating for gas, staying at hotels and food, the money i would spend on the trip there and back was marginally more than a return flight to greece. my calculations was around 380 euro and the tickets cost 350. hope that helps.
