I think it is the human condition to question things. I believe God gave us minds that think and I don't think he fears mortal questioning, do you? You can call yourself a Christian if you believe in Christ. That's the condition. Don't set yourself up to accept the answers from the fanatics as truth. Believe, question, read, understand, question some more. That's how it works, dear.

I believe that a person can question the Bible and still be a Christian. If you believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose three days later, then you are basically a Christian. There are alot of parts of the Bible that people don't understand and they are still Christians.

You can be saved and still have wrong beliefs. I doubt that there has ever been a Christian who was 100% right in their beliefs. But they have still trusted Christ as their Lord, believe in his resurrection, and allowed their hearts to be reborn. Their heads just have not caught up with their hearts yet.

I am concerned, however, that you say you believe something that most Christians would say is wrong. While a wrong belief may not keep you "out of heaven", it can cause you lots of trouble in this life.

I would love to talk about what you are questioning if you would like. Maybe I can help you with it. Contact me if you would like to talk.

You will be in my prayers today...

you can (and should) strive to get a better understanding of the Bible. That's why we have (had) Bible Study nights and Sunday School where we were able to read and get a better appreciation of the Word and not just memorize versese like John 3:16 and call it a day. Go to Bible Study / join or start one and see how many others have questions too!

I think you can. I question some things myself. After all, the Bible was written by man. The first men may have gotten it correct, but I feel that some things have been changed or left out in the translations since then. God gave us brains. I think He intends for us to use them. Think about how long the Catholic church was the law for millions of people. Don't you think it's possible for them to omit or change some things to serve their own interest in keeping people under their power? The Church certainly had the power to do so if they so chose.

Depends on your definition of Christianity. Since the bible contains dozens of self-contradictions, as well as hundreds of errors, anyone who does not question it is being deliberately ignorant. If your definition of Christianity is to live by precepts that have made sense to society over the long term, then the answer to your question is obviously Yes.

It is wrong to question the Bible, if we consider ourselves Christians, but at the same time, we are only human and I think God understands that.

You can ask questions about the bible if you are a christian e.g How long did God take to create heavens & earth?

Questioning may mean Something different e.g Are you sure it is God who made the earth and heavens?
