LET'S GO PENS!!! I think they will be a force to be reckoned with. I belive the pens are going to be a powerhouse in all around offense. But the only thing that worries me is the d-fense. We had some breakdowns last year in that department and needs to strengthen. Everybody blamed all of our goalies for all of the goals scored against us last year but it's hard to stop every shot when the d-fense is getting trapped. We have to stiffen up on D this year and close the gaps. Tougher fore checking is a must and we we have to be more physical along the boards. If the Pens can improve on this, then they could be a threat in the playoffs.

No, i'd not. each are really gifted "something-out-of-no longer something" gamers. with the help of that, I propose they both have the means to take an threat free play and turn it right into a scoring risk. Having them both on an analogous line would not inevitably create more desirable scoring, because those traces will already be so sturdy. the only "yet" i might want to throw into it is they have Jordan Staal, an more suitable than in a position 2d line center. i imagine if Malkin and Crosby are the first line you may throw in 4 blind midgets round them and they're going to nevertheless dominate, and then you've Staal to floor the 2d line around the gifted (yet no longer celeb) wingers like Neal or Kunitz, then have the decrease 2 traces be 'not straightforward' traces. the ease to it is then Staal, Crosby, and Malkin will all see maximum ice time, the turn away is that besides the very undeniable reality that their total ice time will be larger, there may also be more desirable time even as none of them are on the ice (third and fourth line) i might want to placed Crosby line a million center, Malkin line 2 center, Staal line 3 center

On paper, it's a great line: a #1 and #2 draft pick working together. However, it's probably the softest forward combination in the NHL right now, and there are questions about Malkin's ability to transition to the smaller ice. The Crosby-Malkin pairing will need a physical winger on the other side to dig the puck out of the corners, and if the Penguins have no one suited for this role, this line will struggle.

They going to improve and they shoule make the playoffs, but both Crosby and Malkin are still young and Fleury has yet proven himself as NHL worthy let alone led the Pens to a Cup.

The Penguins are still rebuilding but if Malkin has the success everyone predicts, then that will surely help Crosby and the team in general. Overall i think the outlooks good.

I think they will be exciting to watch, and score goals. But we all know that's only part of the equation needed to really be a contender.
I can't wait to see what the chemistry is on that team. Talent is really important but chemistry is an intangible element that can sometimes make or break a team.
Exciting time to be a Pens fan---and about time too.

I think they should be better than last year, but enough to make the playoffs? I'm not sure.
