It rains an average of 33 inches a year. If it rains every day, that wouldn't be much each day, would it?
Currently, we haven't had a wet weekend day since May. We've also had the hottest, driest summer in about 8 years.
Winter is when Seattle gets the reputation for raining every day. It doesn't actually rain, but it is cloudy and gray and often drizzly. I remember one year that we didn't see the sun for 60 days in a row - from mid-February to mid-April. But, I also remember one year that it didn't rain for 60 days in a row - basically all of July and August.

Rain, Seattle only thinks it rains a lot. In Hawaii the city of Hilo on the Big Island get over 250 of rain each year. Right in the city.
Seattle can brag about 30 to 40 inches a year.
Move to Seattle, it is beautiful and rain well not be a issue.

It rained last winter for 36 days in a row. Not just drizzle, actually raining when I woke up and went to sleep. Then It didn't rain for a couple days. Then it started raining again for 10 more days. It sucked. And people in Seattle are small time and they think that Seattle is the best and most important place in the world, but it's not.

It drizzles frequently 9 months out of the year. But no, it does NOT rain every day. For some reason Seattle is synonymous with rain, but there are dozens of US cities that get more. I'd think if you're from the South you might be pleasantly surprised because it rarely comes in torrential downpours here.

not at all....can be wet in November and December...but usually very sunny in the summer times....
I live in Vancouver, about 3 hours north of Seattle, and Vancouver has the most days with no precipitation in July and August of any major city in Canada...so go figure...Seattle is a great city! Incidentally, Seattle has the highest percentage of people with at least a bachelors degree in all of the US...people over 25 years old....52%

I've lived here all my life, up and down the western side of the state, and I don't want to live anywhere else. It doesn't rain as much as we may complain about, but really it's just grey most of the time during late fall thru early spring. But that just makes the state more beautiful!
Plus, we don't get hurricanes! Just the occasional earthquake and small belch from a local volcano.

no longer many times. yet this twelve months so some distance has been fairly crappy. Springtime is many times sunny, warmer and dry. we've had many times wet days this twelve months and it became into cool adequate the different night i actually placed a fire on! Seattle many times gets approximately 2 hundred sparkling days according to twelve months and we are actually not even in the precise 40 rainiest cities in the U. S.! what's a snigger, although, is many human beings come at right here and bash Seattle and say how terrible this is that don't stay right here. Which makes me ask your self - in case you hate it lots - why are you many times at right here answering Seattle questions?

I visited Seattle in June of 2004 and it didn't rain once the entire time. One day was overcast, but that was it.
In my opinion, you could hardly do worse than Seattle. I've only been there once and it's my all-time favorite vacation spot. So many things to do and such a beautiful place.

It hasn't rained for months!
The South usually gets more rain because it's subtropical weather - Mobile, AL is the rainiest city in the mainland US - Seattle just has more cloudy days.
