I have to say I cried (a few times). I have a 13 year old girl and 4 year old son. My 13 year old was very sad...talking about it to her friends at school. Years ago, I watched his shows, mostly, when my daughter was younger. It was very, very painful to hear the news. It is like a friend or family member unexpectantly passed. I think what makes this so hard for all of us is his young age (I am 10 years younger than he is), and the freakish way he died. Dying a normal death is easier to wrap our minds around, than trying to make sense of a death that didn't have to be...and coming from a so-called "docile" animal. I guess the hammer fell when hearing why he was there....to film a segment for his daughter's little t.v. show. How sweet and utterly tragic! Off subject: I hope that tape is destroyed! Peace and blessings be with you mate, and your family....how truly beautiful you all are. It is nice to see that people can embrace someone other than self-indulged stars. "Crickey" Steveo, where did the sun go?! RIP

I was definitely sad and shocked when I found out he died. The encounters that he has had with DANGEROUS animals should have done him in, but a stingray?? It was ironic in a way. The stingray got him in the heart, but I think what killed him is that he pulled the barb out his chest and bled to death. It was a freak accident. And usually stingrays are docile.
Anyway, yes I was definitely sad when I heard the news.

Yes, I cried... when I saw pics of his little daughter Bindi on television.
So tragic, so sad.... he had so much left to share with the world & of course, his family.

I'm sure his family did, as well as a few scattered fans. Hate to say it, but I think most people kinda saw it comming...which is sad...but I find it amazing he lived to do as much as he did...same goes for grizzly man...
