they don't look cheap.. will anyone notice.. I paid 80.00 for them.. is that a rip off for fake leather...

As to a ripoff, you can check around to see what real leather ones would cost.
Put you can be happy that you helped some kids in a third world country keep busy at their job.

It means nice fake materials that are made up of chemicals and will take eons to break down once you are tired of them and throw them out.

Yes, as a matter of fact, they are completely made of synthetic material, meaning man made. Nonetheless, they still hold up pretty well, you should be okay.
