Go to Google.com and type "2 5/8 x 7 3/5" in the search box. Hit enter and you get the answer:
(2 5/8) x (7 3/5) = 19.95

If you're trying to learn how to solve mixed fraction multiplications, that's usually taught in school. Talk to a math teach in your school or an older student.

You need to make the whole numbers into fractions and then multiply.

Since your base in the first fraction is eighths, you have to make the 2 (a whole number) into eighths and then add the 5/8ths to it. Since 8/8 = 1 then 16/8 = 2. You take the 16/8 and add the 5/8, giving you 21/8

Do the same for the second number: 5/5 = 1 so 35/5 = 7 then add the 3/5 for 38/5.

Now you have 21/8 x 38/5 = you make one giant fraction by multiplying (21x38) over (8 x 5) = this equals 798/40

You can reduce this further into 399/20 and also converted into a whole number plus a fraction again, 19 and 19/20ths

you want to make improper fractions:
2 5/8 would be 21/8 (2*8+5)
7 3/5 would be 38/5 (7*5+3)
then you just multiply the numerators and the denominators across
(21/8)x(38/5) would be (21*38) over (8*5)
so you should get 798/40 then you would reduce to 399/20
then if you need that in a mixed fraction like you started with you would take the num divided by the denom and put the whole number as your whole number the remainder as your numerator and the 20 in your denom.
Final Answer: 19 19/20

2 5/8 = 2 25/40 (5*5=25 , 8*5=40)

7 3/5 =7 24/40 (3*8=24 , 5*8=40)

1/8 = 5/40
1/5 = 8/40

oops...you don't need all this..!!!

well..:

2 5/8= 21/8
7 3/5=38/5

21/8 x 38/5= (21x38)/(8x5) =798/40 = 19 38/40
= 19 19/20

19 19/20

Or, the non-cheating way would be:
To Multiply Fractions:

Multiply the numerators of the fractions
Multiply the denominators of the fractions
Place the product of the numerators over the product of the denominators
Simplify the Fraction
Example: Multiply 2/9 and 3/12

Multiply the numerators (2*3=6)
Multiply the denominators (9*12=108)
Place the product of the numerators over the product of the denominators (6/108)
Simplify the Fraction (6/108 = 1/18)

Convert to pure fractions:
21/8 x 38/5
Reduce the fractions if you want:
21/4 x 19/5
Multiply the tops and the bottoms by each other:
399/20
Convert the fraction:
19-19/20

take both mixed numbers and change them to improper fractions by taking the 8 and multiplying by 2 then add the five then do it for the other problem then mulitply them together, and after you get your answer change the number back into a mixed number

it's simple. 2 times 7 equals 14.

5 times 3 equals 15

8 times 5 equals 40

your answer is: 14 14/40. . . . . then simplify if you have to.
