ohhh.. i dont know about the birthday present suggestion.. or even the bringing it out when intimate.
What I sense from her ignoring it is what she is worried about. If she DOES do it for you, she may have suspicions that you are gay. For a woman, that is a HORRIBLE fear as there is NO way she can be what you want.
I sense that you are not gay, as it is a "g spot" type of area for men. You need to do some research and show her this information as she's probably going to be nervous at the thought of a strap on and your sexuality.
Have a talk when it's not intimate. Make sure she knows that she's the only one for you, but that you would like her to show you how it feels and ask her if she's willing to do it. I have to say, make sure she is alright with it and dont force her, as she may resent you for it later..
